What nailgig is

nailgig is a bulletin board. Salons post job listings; workers read them and contact salons directly. nailgig is not an employer, an agency or a party to any hiring, and does not vet listings or applicants. Any arrangement is between you and the other person.

Accounts

• You sign in with a phone number or email address that you control. Keep it that way; you're responsible for what's posted from your account.
• One person, one account. Don't sign in as someone else.
• You must be at least 16 to use nailgig and of legal working age to respond to a listing.

Posting a listing

If you post, you promise that:

• the job is real, the salon is yours or you're authorised to hire for it, and the details (pay, role, address, phone) are accurate;
• the listing complies with all applicable laws — including anti-discrimination, minimum-wage, and pay-transparency laws — and doesn't ask for money from applicants;
• any photos are yours to use and don't show people who haven't agreed to it;
• you'll remove the listing when the role is filled.

Each account may run up to five listings at a time. Spotlight placement is offered as-is and may change or become a paid feature; we'll say so before charging anyone.

Using the board

You may not:

• collect phone numbers or listing data in bulk, by scraping, automation or any means other than a person reading the site;
• use contact details from listings for anything other than responding to that listing;
• post spam, scams, off-topic ads, or anything unlawful, hateful or harassing;
• interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses, or try to get around limits we've put in place.

Our part

• We can remove any listing or account that breaks these terms or that we believe is harmful, with or without notice.
• We can change, pause or shut down nailgig, or any feature, at any time. We'll try to give notice for anything major.
• nailgig is provided as-is. We don't guarantee it will always be available, or that listings are accurate or that a job or worker exists as described.

Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give nailgig permission to show it on the site, in search results and in previews, and to store and back it up, for as long as the listing is live (plus ordinary backup periods). We don't claim any other rights to it.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, nailgig and the people who run it are not liable for any loss arising from using the site or from any hiring, employment or contact that begins here — including lost wages, lost business, or disputes between salons and workers. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months, which today is nothing.

Disputes and law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. If we have a disagreement, write to [email protected] first; most things can be sorted out with an email.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and continuing to use nailgig after that means you accept the new version.
